The final rites for the renowned tourist mogul and convener of the Ekoonibaje New Yam & Beach Festival, Late Chief Ozo Chiedu Idezuna, also known as Ezemuo Afrika, will commence with a Lagos Day of Tribute on November 30th, 2024. The tribute will take place at the Ekoonibaje Kingdom, Elesekan, in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State, starting at 12 p.m.
This was confirmed during a meeting held at the Kingdom on 9th October, 2024 where well-wishers gathered and reached a consensus on the event. A 7-man committee has been established to oversee preparations, which include chair and canopy rentals, sound system arrangements, and customized t-shirts, among other essentials.
The financial support needed for the funeral arrangements is now open, with friends, family, business associates, and well-wishers invited to contribute toward the successful planning, including travel to UKE Kingdom for the final burial rites scheduled for January 7th and 8th, 2025.
