In preparation for the 16th edition of the EKO New Yam Festival, scheduled for September 28, 2024, the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centre Business District (ABAT CBD) Market has received a truckload of potatoes from northern Nigeria. This delivery marks a significant step toward the upcoming celebrations, which will take place at the market square, coinciding with World Tourism Day on September 27th , 2024 and the New Yam Festival on September 28th, 2024.
Mr. Samson, Secretary of ABAT CBD Market, along with Muazu Yahaya, Leader of the Arewa Market Men and Women, and Ozo Chiedu Idezuna, also known as Ezemmuo Afrika, who is the convener of the EKO New Yam Festival, welcomed the delivery. The leaders emphasized the importance of the market’s strategic location at Elesekan, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, near the Area J. Police Headquarters in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
