EKO ONIBAJE New YAM FESTIVAL 2022 Grassroots Football Tournament conference
The much-awaited Conference of the Grassroots Football Tournament of Eko Onibaje New Yam Festival 2022 was held on Saturday 23rd July 2022. The event started at exactly 10:00 am with the coaches of all the 16 participating teams for the tournament on set, the organizers, and the convener at the Castledown Art Center Event Hall.
COACHING EDUCATION
The conference was a loaded one, with Coach Toriola Nurudeen (aka De Ultimate) presiding,
He started coaching education and tutored the coaches on the proceedings of the tournament
The catalyst of the conference was the Draws which proceeded accordingly with the defending champion (The Infinity Football Club) taking the lead in the signing of the tournament’s undertaken and peeking the draw card, gradually all the 16 teams peeked their slot has the draw table completed.
LECTURER
The lecturer of the day was introduced in the person of Coach Victor Akinmoyo
Coach Victor Akinmoyo gave an enlightening lecture. He highlights:
- The business angle of being a coach
- Running a football academy
- Financial implications
- Safety and welfare of the players
- Registration of the academy, and more.
SOCIAL MEDIA
The Admin and PR of the Eko Onibaje New Yam Festival in the person of Mr. Olukayode Orikeye also talk about the importance of the coaches having an online profile for their carrier and business, leveraging the social media
Closing the conference was a remark from the convener of the Eko Onibaje New Yam Festival Chief Ozo Chiedu Idezuna. He emphasized the significance of using tourism and sport in promoting peaceful co-existence among ethnic nationals and National Unity.
